Mr. Ramírez has over 25 years experience in the commercial and international banking industry. His career started with the Chase Manhattan Bank where he accumulated over 15 years of experience in commercial and international banking, having reached the position of director of production management, compliance and internal controls for the International Department of said institution. During the next 12 years, Mr. Ramírez was chief financial officer and risk manager for the Latin America and Caribbean Region of Visa International, as well as director of compliance and electronic banking for Chase Federal Bank and director of payment services for TIB Bank of the Keys. Subsequently, Mr. Ramírez founded a merchant acquiring business, and has provided consulting services to several financial institutions in the implementation of payment systems and development of compliance programs. Mr. Ramírez joined JBalaguer & Associates in early 2000.
